Automotive Seminars & Update to RTS coming soon!

Hi All !

Its been a busy few months!  I just wanted to update you, and let you know what I have been up to and what you can expect from RTS in the near future.

Last October, I left TCi/Michelin to help out a Co-op up in Portland called NW Tire Factory.  Tire Factory is a group of  fantastic Independent Tire Business  owners located mostly in the Pacific Northwest.  Tire Factory is owned and operated by tire and service dealers just like you.  I made short work of building a sales team, developing a recruiting and value add program for their membership and even made a few friends along the way (Hi Steve, Andrew and Rob!).

Prior to my detour in Portland,  I was working on a program called “The Complete Winning Strategy”.  CWS is a comprehensive retail operations workshop and coaching platform inspired by my 18 years of  leading and assisting retail tire and service  teams.    The program assists store leadership in defining roles, setting goals as well as providing ownership with the tools necessary to build top performing retail teams.

I am currently in the process of rolling out the CWS program nationwide.  I will also be offering two seminars  How to Compete with Large Chains & Building Top Retail Teams,  both of those seminars will be open to all dealers  through 2012.  I will post the dates of the seminars on RTS  soon.

Lastly, here is what you can expect going forward from RTS !  It goes without saying, that things have been a little slow around here lately.  That said, we will provide more frequent content – specifically from some really great  resources in the automotive retail space.  We are going to bring you more relevant content from the front lines (your counters).  Content that includes new retail technology, selling tools and tried and true best practices.  RTS is determined to take it up an notch in bringing you retail solutions for the independent tire and service dealer.  We have new and improved content coming soon.  Stay tuned ;-).

I have spent the past eighteen years producing, coaching and mentoring retail teams. The past six have been in support of Independents across Western US. Although, I have worked most of my career in automotive retail, It hasn’t and never will be about “cars and trucks.” What it has been about is the challenge and satisfaction of helping people with all types of backgrounds to realize their potential.
I am very proud that many of my former teammates have gone on to do some pretty terrific things with their life. Several are currently running their own groups and a few have even opened their own businesses.
My assignments with Bridgestone Firestone and TBC Corporation has offered me the opportunity to work in and become familiar with many markets across the country. From my hometown of Philadelphia, to Boston, Arizona, Dallas, New Mexico, Florida and Southern California. Each market has presented its own unique set of challenges, but at the end of the day, it always came down to three things: people, process and execution.
